Oxford Stormex + ACF-50
That's what I've used for the last 3 years and the bike still looks OK. The stock bolts all furred up pretty quick especially on the front end, but once you get over that (and put a Gixer front end on), it gets easier. |

ive had the oxford one, a r&g and currently use a dust off waterproof cover. i have to say the dust off cover is much better than the other two and cheaper! my bike lives outside (and is ridden) in all weathers 365 days a year. still looks ok.
personally i dont like acf50 as i like my bikes clean and i use the muc off bike protectant (basically a silicone spray) i fint that this helps a bit but its very expensive in the long run. during winter i use the fs365 after every couple of washes. only thing your going to get thats a major problem with a cover is condensation (and snow causing the cover to freeze to the bike) but the more vents you have the more rains going to get in so your stuck really. best thing if you have the room for a bike barn is to build a shed. |

A guy at work has kept his Pan outside all winter with just a cover on it.

mine lives outside all year with just a cover, did feel sorry for it when it had a foot of snow on top, still good insulation. It's not really a problem just give it a clean and lubricate, job jobbed.

Bringing this back from the dead... Those that have a bike barn or equivalent would you be able to use that with a tail bag still on the bike? Is there enough clearance?

Just put a bungee cord around the bike after you put the flimsy oxford cover on. I tie it from the one foot rest to the other, over the seat. It hold the cover down just fine

I have a normal cover I like the idea of a bike barn as not likely to scratch the bike with inside of the cover and also less likely to be a sail in the wind?

You are more liklely to scratch the bike with a tent like cover blowing into it than a traditional cover that is more fixed into place if you asked me.

I thought these things had a pretty decent frame around the bike?
