yeh the battery i used for that test was a bit weak but it did turn the starter for sure. Im sure a better battery would have done more but i dont know if it would actually start it that way if the bike thinks its ignition isnt on?????

If an SV650 has a flat tyre in the forest and no-one is there to blow it up, how long will it be 'til someone posts that the reg/rec is duff and the world will end unless a CBR unit is fitted? A little bit of knowledge = a dangerous thing.

haha, ok update time. Only a couple of days late too which aint bad for me.
And guess what? Yup, good old green connector. It was the thicker of the wires that run into it, the black/red wire and it had simply burnt and melted the inside of the block.

The thing that took the most time was trying to get the damned thing out of the very tight space but i pesevered and many small cuts on finger tips later it was out.
Ok i dodged the splicing optside the connector a bit till i get something suitably small to do it right but hallelujah it worked and bikes has been fine yesterday and today, woohoo!!

Once again the almightly Orgers are always here to give words of advice and help...a big thank you to you all , i love you guys

Said it would be the connector block didn't I. How did I know this? because I had the exact same issue with the YZF and who did I call for help? Yup, the squidster.
