I use "Persimmon" reactions lenses in a pair of Oakley Flak-Jackets with a dark pinlock.
Means if it goes clousy I can just open my main visor and the glasses still provide wind protection.

I have the 'race' pinlock dark visor fitted. There is no gap at the top. It's higher than the normal ones. When it's fitted, at first glance, you can't see it's a pinlock at all and most importantly, no sun getting in around the edges of it.

Why ?
Visor pouch around your waist, you'll never know its there.

I wear my pouch off to one side. I've seen other people wear it around the waist, but with the visor bit around their back. I've also seen people wear them outside of their leathers / jacket.

If I ride to work I take a backpack with shoes in and just stick my other visor in a holder in there.
The holder also straps round my waist and it really is one of those things you wont notice once you've set off. |

Don't worry about it digging in, you can move the visor around you until its comfortable, probably the best option for carrying a clear visor as it is also pretty safe!

Couple of questions here. Firstly, I presume there is a legal limit of how dark a visor can be? What is it, and are there suppliers that are to be avoided or do all visors sold in the UK have to conform to a set standard? Also, wearing a visor in a pouch around your waist - Is there not a safety risk in doing this if you came off? I've never done it so have absolutely no idea of the pros and cons of this idea.

Don't remember if you're shorter that me mate, but I doubt it.
Maybe it felt strange at first to wear the visor bag, but you get used to it and forget about it after a few miles. |

I have a sunvisor helmet that I use in changeable conditions or if I know I'm coming home in the dark as I don't like carrying a spare visor. I have another helmet with a dark visor I use when I assume (rightly or wrongly) it will be bright all the time I'm out. If it gets dark wearing this I generally struggle, curse and swear on the way home...
