I had a leaky caliper on my srad - managed to use a full litre bottle of brake fluid trying to re-pressurise the system. Like YC says it might just be a passing issue but good on you for addressing it instead of thinking "it'll be reet"

Cool, that makes me worry a bit less. Went for a wee bimble earlier and it seemed OK, but will spin and retorque them tomorrow. Thanks!

To be honest if I thought any manner of fluid was leaking I would not go for any spin at all, and I'm a right bodging tw*t on my own bike!

Heh, you know how terrifying it is when you grab a handful and lever comes right back to bar?

Happily no - and hope never to, but point taken.

Once I adjust washers and retorque, how do I 'know' it's good?

Chuck a bucket of water over the lot to wash off any fluid, wait for it to dry, then have a good squeeze on lever and watch for wetness.

All done as per advice. Gave it a good hard squeeze and no sign of any wetness.
