Curveys can have an issue with the loom chafing araound the headstock, but pointys are usually pretty reliable. Has it got an alarm fitted?

A chafing loom sounds painful - I'll have to watch out for that!

No Alarm, heated grips or anything else that cold cause excess current draw.

Anyway as it was still under Suzuki 2yr warranty it went back to the dealer.
Had two tram and two train journey to pick it up on the following weekend though.
Only explaination i got from the dealer was that it was a 'Loose connection' in the ignition barrel connector to the loom.

So SidSquid's diagnosis in
http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=137151
seems to cover it.
Though i would have hoped Suzuki would know this apears to be a not infrequent issue from what i have read on SVrider US website, and would have done someting about it by now.

Anyway it's fine now and still covered 'till September.
