on a sv i dont think there is a bad tyre for it
 ive got a curvy and im running a bridgestone BT016 hypersport on the front and a dunlop sport max on the rear.

I don't think there are any really bad tyres these days, but that wasn't the question, even the cheap and nasty aren't as cheap or nasty as they once were.
there are good and valid reasons why a reputable tyre place won't fit just any old tyre to your bike on a ride in/out change.
