Could you do the old rotating forks trick to see if they are bent on that?

Wheel out of square would be very bad vibrations through bars

Na, my thoughts were pretty much as those described by others I just wanted it to be backed up by people much wiser than me.

Now all you need to do is go out and practice the "dump the clutch in 1st and spin on the spot" trick, easy on something like a DRZ!

I have to admit i would get in touch in insurance myself regardless, and the police, let the driver know the meaning of driving without due care.
and regardless of visable checks damage could have been done to a lot of other parts so i'd get insurance company to sort it out and let them rebuild the front end for you, after all it's his fault as he should not have reversed without properly checking

Thats the sort of "to the letter thinking" which causes a hike in everyones insurance premiums though.

have you checked his insurance details on askMID database? And was it his own vehicle or did it belong to an employer?

Its a company pool vehicle, I think it could even be Robs van (or at least he uses it the most). I'd assume his dads insured to drive it with it been his dads company etc - regardless I'd have kept any repairs settled without insurance companies getting involved.
