Lots of pheasants where I live, they are the stupidest birds on the planet! Hit one with my clutch hand a few months ago on the XT, and I've hit one with my shoulder on the SV. I think loud exhausts don't help, because they reverberate off the hedgerows in front of you, and scare the birds into the road.

It all becomes clear now - said pigeon was attempting to perform a retribution hit.

Serial Pigeon Killer On The Loose In NYC!

"It was horrible," the spokesman said. "Birds were falling from trees, staggering around It's the work of a depraved mind. They must have a resentment against pigeons."

"Authorities believe it to be the work of a lone madman, according to a statement made by Parks and Recreation Commissioner Henry J."

I had no idea you spent some time living in New York.

The authorities have been informed.

I hit one of those big black backed gulls on a GS1000 years ago, it smashed the headlight to smithereens, the glass was destroyed, the headlight rim and shell were both dented, it was like hitting a breezeblock.

Lorry clipped a pigeon outside my work a few years ago, it flew up and perched on the ledge above the shop door, I was just thinking how lucky it was when it fell down, dead as a hammer. Delayed action splat!

I've been crying with laughter reading these, especially the delayed reaction of the pigeon!
