I'll be doing this. Being a day-rate soul I was considering doing a 1/2 day and heading up from London at Lunchtime, but I may just do the whole friday off thing

That would be right and proper Mr Foster - I think you should do that.

In terms of my plan for getting there - I don't do advance planning. I'll be going up on Friday daytime and taking a tent and some apples, that's all I know at the moment.

So, does anyone fancy joining me for a leisurely ride up??

I'm thinking about leaving the Ace around 9.30 with a full belly, a full tank and an empty bladder? First stop will probably be Leicester Forest East services (just over 100 miles).

Any volunteers?

2. Mr and Mrs LPH but may need to find you a bit north of Ace to save coming right into London?

Last time we went to Yorkshire we used Newport Pagnell services as a seconadary meet-up point.

Or maybe it was Toddington.

Anyways would suggest an M1 service station as the Essexshire/Londonium meetup point.

SK - Providing the weather's decent I'm planning to head up the A413 (much nicer than the M1). I'll join the M1 at J15a (Rothersthorpe). So any of the services around there would work for me.

LPH - Would somewhere near Denham (just off the M25) or Amersham (a bit further north) work for you?

Sure it would - let me check the map. We have sat nav now too as 'Stu Nav' was rubbish!

Keith we've met briefly at Soho Massive tonight. I arrived just as you were leaving, and just before we were all told to bugger off by Old Bill. I'd like to join you on the way to AR11 if you don't mind.

All the best.
Mike

Mike - No problem. Where are you coming from?

All - I'll plan for petrol/pee stops between 100 and 120 miles apart.
