Unemployed?

The guy took early retirement to look after his wife, who was recovering from a long term illness. Did he claim carer's allowance? I hope he did, and would have been saving the state a fortune anyway.

And so they like the odd meal... don't we all. And just maybe the enforced, sedentry lifestyle has led to the cuddliness. Having spent an awful lot of the last 5 yrs in the corner of the sofa, after a serious RTA, and putting on 3stone when prior to that I was super fit and healthy - why are we so quick to have a pop at people and their success in this country...

Chuffed to bits for them, and good luck to them.

I say good luck to them!! So what if they're not in their early 20's in well paid jobs and go to the gym 4 times a week?? Doesn't mean they are any less of a person because of who they are or what they do..

I hope they live the rest of their lives happy and content knowing they never have to struggle with money again!

Who are we to judge. I hope the couple get a lot of pleasure from their win and perhaps can fund further treatment for their medical conditions. If this windfall can bring just a little extra quality to their lives ,then bless them I say.
