In Newport you can but i still use them in my van even more so when there's only room for one car at the end of the lane before the roundabout.

Reading Borough Council allows M/C's to use all bus lanes, careful though coz West Berks is the authority in the west of Reading, I live very near the border but not sure of their rules

No such thing as a bus lane round here. So how the hell do they think people should know what you can/cannot do in different place. Surely a single consistent policy should exist.

You can only use a very short bit of bus lane about 100m in durham on gilesgate bank only. Bikes can't use any of the others in durham?

Cheers guys!
![]() Randomly my local Councillor is now sitting on the Transport for Greater Manchester Committee, so I've taken the opportunity to badger him about pushing for the same in Greater Manchester ![]() Ps: for future info, the list I managed to compile from your input plus a few website articles was: - London - Birmingham - Sheffield - Newcastle upon Tyne (in the form of 'No Car Lanes') - Leeds (in the form of '2+ Lanes) - Hull - Bristol - County Durham - Belfast - Plymouth - Bedford - Bath - Colchester - Swindon - Reading (It's a mixture of trials, permanent, and staged implementation) Last edited by Steve_God; 18-08-11 at 08:18 AM. |
