my advice, dont pi55 it all away.
I'd imagine up until now Uni has been the goal. Now you've attained that you need to focus on getting that degree. The lure of booze and debortuary is all too appealing, you must stay stong young grasshopper.

(holy*hit I've actually become my dad!)

Indeed it has, part of entering the degree is the understanding of commitment.
Oh and I really hope I don't waste it all away on booze.... As I don't actually drink I shall stay 'stong'

The wife (although she wasnt my wife at the time, long before we'd met tbh) remained t-total through her uni years.
She drank before them, she drank after them but is really proud that didnt have a drop during her whole attandance so it can be done

Did many of your classmates achieve they're required grades? I remember those who just missed out on placements, that time between now and clearing was horrible for them. Be sure to reassure them if its anyone close to you cos I'll bet thier feeling pretty vunerable right now.

Nice one dude! I know how it feels.

I graduated from King's 2 months ago after doing medicine. Working on itu in mk at the moment. All I can say is, make the most of it, party party party then cram. Don't be like the other medics that stop going out after 2nd year, you can afford to keep it up til the very end, trust me. The earlier years are probably harder anyway.

Seriously though, if you ever want any advice on the best books for whatever topics or anything else just drop me a pm. Wish I was starting med school again, working lifes naff.

edit, oh and 99% of medical students are the biggest losers/annoying people ever, tread carefully and choose wisely! Expect to get looks of 'what an idiot are you' when they find out you've got a bike.

oh and if facebook is still around when you graduate, do not update your status to so-and so...is now Dr so-and-so. So lame.

There was a great mix of making it, not making by a little and those that didn't comprehend the amount of work they'd have to do.
I've been blessed to have been surrounded by high achievers who push you to do well, others haven't been as fortunate and I only wish they find the guidance they need!

But yah hopefully I intend to stay T-total for the rest of my life! some find that hard to comprehend too life with no alcohol
Thank you all again, 't has only just sunk in properly too!
