if its an astra or an audi i always stay well back and let them get on with it as most i have come across have been asswipes. audi drivers dont know what indicators or mirrors are and astra drivers think the roads are a race track but both have the same attitude which is 'i'm better that you'. its a shame as audi's are feckin great cars.

Nowt wrong with them, my bad road experiences seem to be mainly with mercs.
I do get annoyed if im driving about at school run time and the bloody women in X5's, X6's and Q6's (or whatever they are called) blocking roads dropping their kids off and cant drive them for toffee. |

Audi are great cars IMO. Expensive, but nice.
Next car will probably be an A4+ or 3 series. Don't care what people think, jog on! |

On my 5th Audi. A lovely A6 saloon, with that gorgeous new car smell.
C1 or A6....mmm, tough one. I do about 30k miles a year.... and its comfortable. Is it a car that people like to be seen in? I've not really thought about it but to put it in context would you like to be seen on a GSXR 1000 or a Chinese/Korean 125. ...

I'm trying to get the other 0.5 to like Audi....
the last car I bought her new was the Volvo V40 back in 1998 which she still has... so I'm thinking.................... can't say to be honest... I hope she likes the VW toerag as I call it... (touareg) :0) Love Audi's but never owned one as yet.... but what I really really really want is this... ![]() |

I think this is a little bit of chicken or egg.....
Audi and BMW both make great cars that perform well, are comfortable to drive, and reliable. As such they are going to attract not just the discerning driver (us....) but also the big mileage users who sometimes have all the pressures that such habits bring and who allow them to influence how they treat anything that gets in their way, ie: other traffic..... The other way to look at is that expensive cars are bought by successful individuals who didn't get to be where they are in life by being soft and cuddley...... Either way I know that on my 100 mile a day commute I would much rather be in my 330 than my other half's Fabia, or our MX5. Both great cars, but neither as relaxing or stress free as the BMW. |

+1 having seen these on the road driving between stage starts on the British Rally? Fire belching from the exhaust, amazing.
Unfortunately I know too many Audi A3/A4 driving knobs, appreciate the build quality, but the type of driver they attract reminds me of XR3, Golf & Saxo drivers, just a bit more posh (note this doesn't include you Fizz ![]() Having had a Saab 900 I do like cars that are built well, but I just can't bring myself to buy one. I'd have another saab no problem.
