The paint code should be on a sticker on the underside of the fuel tank.

Welcome to site, good luck with test

Now you've bought it all, put the alarm straight back on eBay they're a right pain in the *rse! I prefer alarmed disclocks as they make just as much noise, add useful physical security and can't leave you stranded when they go wrong

Regarding the headstock bearings it's well worth getting some koyo branded ones rather than the pattern sh*te on eBay. Marksman industrial sell the good stuff and the price is often similar.

Alarms are my Forte! Admittedly i have never fitted one to a bike yet, but should it fail, it wont take me more than 10minutes to bypass it and get the bike going again! I dont get on with the idea of a disc lock, im the kind of idiot that would forget about it ( did it on the DT with a 1.5m chain wrapped through the wheel and around the forks!) and make a right tit of myself!

I went for All Balls bearings, They were recommended to me as all my friends who ride MX use them. Fitted them on my DT and was well impressed with them tbh, and that took far more abuse than the SV will be subjected to!

Appreciate the advice though, and ill be sure to come back with my tail between my legs should you end up being correct!!!

I've never used those myself but the bearings on MX bikes seem to die by jetwash based grit intake rather than wearing out. Anyway even the cheapest bearings work they just don't last like the good ones so I'm sure you'll be reet.

I bet you won't do the chain trick again though!
