yes... hold a chopstick or something similar horizontal against the fork leg and place end lightly on disc, spin wheel and move chopstick in and out a fraction till you feel the warp. you will get a scrape then no scrape if its warped if its not warped then you will just get a constant scrape. no need for fancy runout gauges. if disks are warped then the money you would have spent on gauge will go towards discs.

you can also use the same method for checking runout on wheel by placing 'chopstick' on rim.

if you want to be really anal about it then use a felt pen instead of chopstick to mark where the warp is.

BTW a very very slight warp is nothing to worry about.
