It's ridiculous what these dealers get away with charging. My 330d has over 150k on it now, it had a history for the first 30k, then I bought it and it hasn't been near a garage since. Sure if I go to sell it I might take a hit with no stamps, but just how much is a car with that mileage worth anyhow. For the record it costs me about £80 for an oil change, that's for a genuine filter and fully synthetic oil, and it takes less than 15 minutes to do.

If you're planning on keeping it for any length of time throw away the service record and just spend your money on the car itself.

First service on my 1'er cost £328 from a main dealer. Lucky I don't have to pay it. They also wanted £174 to replace a run flat tyre cos it had a nail in it. I took it to Pro-Tyre and they removed the wheel, took the tyre off, removed the offending nail, put the tyre back on the rim, wheel back on the car all for the princely sum of £0 and 0 pence.

Doesn't really help you HM, but it does go to show that dealers really are rather expensive.

BMW dealers in my experience don't give a sh!t either. There is a waiting list for every model of BMW car and they sell on the badge alone, if you are pi$$ed off and decide never to buy another, it's no great shakes as somebody else will. The vast majority are company financed cars that will will be serviced at the main dealer no matter what. It's never good to be dealing with an organisation that doesn't NEED your custom.
