Definitely +1 for TCX boots. Mine are Goretex jobs which have withstood some serious monsoon-like conditions this year without a single fault - 6 months in are in great nick despite the abuse. Nicely made and reassuring armour although they tend to squeek like a b*****d if you don't give them a squirt of silicone every so often. Never mind, I like the Pied Piper effect!

Think mine are Competizione S GTX ones and they may have been superceded now by a new model. Think I got them for about £150, possibly as the new model was imminent.

when I go out trail riding, I know my boots are going to be submerged for periods of time, so no amount of waterproofing will help. However, with sealskin socks on my feet have never felt even damp

Ąlpinestars SMX4+ (I think), goretex lined and they are fantastic. I have owned them since 2007 and covered over 40K miles in them. They have kept my feet dry on many monsoon rides, including last year's AR. They are the nuts IMO. The current incarnation of the boot can be seen here and are £170, which is what I paid IIRC, 5 years ago!

Unfortunately I'm not after any goggles at the moment.

+1 for these - I've got the SMX 5-WPs, and I think I was the only person totally happy on the AR rideout (but a lack of spray in the face tends to do that for you). It's probably worth mentioning that I've been caught out in even heavier conditions when the weather turns suddenly, and they've never given me hassle.
