Other than that there is a bike in the picutre does the notice and car park sign for that matter mention bikes at all?
I dont know if its relevent but we've had bays added infront of work recently and when I asked about parking a bike in there the attendant said, if tis a bike we cant do anything because you've always got he argument of "the ticket been stolen"

With that in mind I asked, so can bikes park anywhere. His responce was if its legal to park there then ticket or not you can leave a bike there.

I recon they've got you on the grounds it wasnt a parking bay and in which case you've got to admit defeat.

the sign says it all, vehicles must be parked in bays. Note it doesn't specify cars/vans/motorbikes etc.

Yeah looking again I can see why you'd think that but it's not pavement it's just Tarmac down the side of a public toilet, there's two more spaces in front of where my bike is but they're a long way away.

Still, are they just going to keep coming back with 'it wasn't a bay- end of' or can I appeal to someone's common sense?

No it's £25 in the two weeks then goes to £50!

Imagine nipping into a shop, not buying a 10p ticket and getting clobbered for that lol

not an expensive mistake, just not a nice one. At least you know for next time to park in a space, or take some white paint and make a space . . . . .
