It definitely does. But as long as you can pick it up again dropping it has been no biggie for me, up she comes and noone suspects a thing....apart from the crash bungs, they tell no lies

Motosliders. Saved the ass end and replacement fairings on the old SV. So it got ground down a bit, but it cost less to replace than a fairing panel.

Great for putting your legs up on to stretch, on long haul journeys

Not impressed with the R&Gs for the Raptor, not a fully thought out design, but the only option for the bike.

Have R&G bungs on my CBR now. Never had crash bungs on my SV and i really really should have had! Was blown of its stand once, knocked over by a guy reversing in car park and I lowsided it too. All this before I crashed it again last month but fortunately I had someone to blame this time and when wrotten off I got my money back that I paid for the bike 3 years previously!

In the end I reckon having them could have saved me over £300 on levers/inicators/etc, and that's without me replacing the scratched fairings/exhaust!...

Dunno, can't comment on a product I haven't had personal experience with on the SV.

Sh*te design, well executed. Bomber bracket on the frame, then a flimsy bung that folds up in smallest off that wouldn't even touch motoslider.

I had them on the VFR to protect the side mounted radiators in case of a drop, let alone a spill. Need to get some for the current steed. Unfortunately they did not help when the SV cartwheeled down the road but they were sold on to protect Dizzy's bike

They don't sit on a bracket like on the SV. I've had them off, and I've forgotten the way they are mounted.
However, R&G for Raptor are only designed for the nakid, and haven't taken into account the size of the rad hoses, so out comes your dremel to carve half an inch off to allow the hoses to expand. Unfortunately for them to accomodate the V, they need to be at least half to an inch longer to cover the indicator pods in a crash, and IIRC the radiator.....on one side!

Uhh oh. This is getting complicated. Now I'm starting to think I should invest in some for the inevitable first spill, I find out I have to choose a specific brand and type to maximize coverage?! There's always somin' to research, isn't there?
