That all sounds very technical, I'm confused already. I didn't take the battery out of the bike....... However, it has just occurred to me that I didn't reconnect the battery to the bike. Which would explain quite nicely why the lights wouldn't come on when I tried to switch it on. I still think the battery could be broken though; it was definitely flat and when I tried to charge it the light immediately came on to indicate that the battery was fully charged.... Which in my limited knowledge of motorcycle batteries makes me think it's totally knackered and isn't accepting any charge?

That would explain it yeah
The battery sounds knackered yes.

For a replacement try MDS batteries (Batteryman on here), think there is still a discount for forum members.

Sounds kaput as Yc said.
I've got a couple of spare evenings if you want to get it going

Yeah that would be great if you're sure you don't mind? I would pay you for your time. Will need to get the spare parts first, will look into getting one of those batteries too. Thanks

Hi Kat & members. Just wondering if there is water in the wiring loom & into the plug connectors, everything could be earthing, check each connector, get the WD40 out. The brakes & things can wait. Getting it running is the first job, a new battery would be a good idea, the petrol should be drained & the new stuff primed to the carbs ( it is a curvy)?
