Seen these though, which might save any more breakages in similar circumstances http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-GSX...item53e913c705

Need a front right indicator lens too, don't know how much a new one would cost, can't be all that much I guess.

Alternatively you could stick a bolt in and get hold of one of these for if/when you get caught out in the future

I need a new rear brake pedal too...not seen those you've linked to before...then I looked at the price tag...think I'll stick with a trendy top of the range bolt thanks

They look quite good, both the fixer peg and the replacement toe peg. I might just go for them if nothing else turns up at a reasonable price. Thanks for the link MYC.

hope you get it sorted soon, it seems that broken thumbs must be quite common as i did mine when i low sided, it was in plaster for a month and took a little while longer to get the strength back in it.
On the bright side at least it's not to serious and it shows how easy/quick these things can happen.

Thanks Bri, getting the plastics sorted properly will be the expensive part I think.

Thanks for all your kind comments ladies and gents. Thumb is not quite so painful this evening despite a full day working in the garage to repair the damage today. Progress was a bit hampered as I was being careful not to make the injury any worse, but I achieved a reasonable amount.
