SV wheel fit GSXR front end?

if you look at the svrider list it gives you the dimensions of the various wheels.

you dont have to use just the GSXR1000 K1 wheel any gsxr 600/750/1000 from k1 onwards will do but to use the 320 discs you will the 'diamond spoke' design wheel.

as i said.. from the chart on svrider you would need to remove 1mm on the back face of each disc carrier the same diameter of the disc mating face of the 'early type wheel (which look identical to the SV wheel)' and 3.5mm from each mating face that contacts the wheel bearings from the spindle and 'collar nut' to bring it in line with the bearing width.

i don't know anyone who has done this and i most certainly haven't but the measurements say that's what need to be done.

as regards the spacer for the callipers its a bit of a complicated washer that replaces the bush in the callipers to raise it up 5mm. you will have to machine a collar like the OEM one but include a 5mm spacer in the middle.

yup as the sv1000 is a diamond spoke and is used on the gsxr as is the spindle from the sv1000.

I think I have sourced a SV1000 wheel with disks from another forum member, so im going to run with that Thanks for all your information Bibio
