the BBC report made it sound like there was a problem with the aircraft, total bull, that guy was show boating and screwed up big time.

Posted it on Tiger 55's Facebook and he said the guy was attempting a 'wingover' (I had to google it), but started it way too low and screwed it up.

I think he just flared to late and clipped the ground losing the tail rotor. If you watch right at the end he obviously pulls on the collective to get lift and without the tail rotor the aircraft just spins. Clearly not what he intended....
