Got it started today and it's now revving freely but its popping a lot, it didn't before I had the gummed up carbs.
Did a quick video on my phone (video taken with airbox and filter fitted but tank raised if that makes a difference?) ![]() I took the carbs off the bike, took the float bowls off and cleaned them out, took the main jet and its holder and pilot jet out of each and cleaned them and then gave the carbs a good going over with the cleaner inside and out. Petrol is a couple of months old and has got some Wynns dry fuel in it. It's running an akra system with cut down can and the baffle in at the moment (only in readiness for the MOT) and an RS road filter both of which were on before and it ran fine. So what's the consensus with what the problem could be? Is it worth topping up the tank with some super plus?

Sounds like an air leak to me, or you have pilots way lean.

If pilots need adjusting and they're seized, how do you free them? I like to keep my impact driver as far away from my carbs as possible by the way!!!!!

The pilots are the orginal ones and it idled fine before taking the carbs off so it's got to be an air leak. They carbs were a bit of a pain to get back on.
