I wanted the shark s900, but unfortunately, the internal visor hit my nose, and didn't feel pleasant. Shame really as I've always bought shark lids. Ended up with a fancy patterned Hjc is16, and yes its a tad noisier than my old shark lid, but the internal visor sits away from my nose, and the mechanism isn't as flimsy as first thought. The pattern makes is it look like Pegs shoei helmet......but for half the cost!

I had a caberg v2, it was pretty noisy but otherwise good.
Protected my bonce very well when I landed on the back of it hard enough to shatter the vents on the front and give me a seriously sore neck and shoulders. However the inner visor wasn't dark enough. Now have a shoei XR1000 and a dark visor... wouldn't bother with another twin visor lid TBH. Reckon on that it's unnecessary and I'd rather have the better helmet all-round.

I had (have) a Schuberth S1 with the drop down sunvisor. Loved the sunvisor, so-so on the helmet.
Last year got a new Shoei Qwest, way better helmet all round apart from no sunvisor. Missed it a lot. Various talk in other circles about Sunax inserts, people generally like them but silly money for what they are (IMO), so I did a DIY version. Basically took an old visor (many years old), made a card template to experiment with the shape, then cut an insert from it using tin-snips (polycarbonate is tough stuff and cuts with snips nicely, it won't split/crack - if it does crack it probably isn't polycarbonate). Then applied some window tint film, got a length of shaded stuff off fleabay for around £3. This is it fitted. ![]() I like having the shade without actually looking through the tint, especially useful in much sunnier climes (Mediterranean etc), set the height to suit your taste. It slips between the shell and lining, just gently ease it in. Internal sunvisors are nice, but I'm happy with the DIY fix for an otherwise nice helmet.

I can recommend the Caberg Ego. This is an updated V2R that I had and is much quieter than the V2R. Full review of the Ego on Webbikeworld. Fitted with my blue iridium inner visor its ideal on sunny days.

Good choice! I have one of these that I use for when the weather is a bit changeable. Haven't found fault with it yet.
