I was with MCE one year. When they first sent the paperwork it was wrong, then I was mis-sold my renewal policy, told me I was getting ride other bikes cover on the phone with me repeatedly asking that it was definitely included...paid up, the paperwork comes through and no sign of it. They're all on commission, had to fight tooth and nail to get my money...turns out the bloke who sold it to me doesn't work there any more They've got history of swindling folk...thank goodness I never had to claim with them, I dread to think the way that would have gone!

Screwed me over when I had to move to a place with no garage. Cancelled the policy on 7 days notice

Interesting. My quotes worked out much cheaper on the multi than individals added together - but it all depends on personal circumstances/bikes etc, I'm sure.

Bike Sure came out pretty cheap and seemed fairly efficient. What's more, when I told them I had now got an equally good quote from my existing insurer (Bike Team) they accepted it and left me alone. As did Carole Nash. I like companies that can accept "No." Be Wiser, on the other hand, pestered me for 4 or 5 days after I told them I wasn't interested. I've no experience with MCE but they seem to have riled a few people and, personally, I wouldn't go near Bennetts (they riled me!).

Not forgetting completely ignoring the content of our cancellation letter... sending a reply with admin charges.... only after a threatening letter that having no insurance is illegal.

Got refund after emailing the MD threatening them with ombudsman.

C***s! Wouldn't p*ss down their legs if their feet were afire.

Aye I've used BikeSure. Believe they're sort of a middleman though.

Bit of a PITA when i was knocked off in that they just passed me on to various consultants without bothering to explain the process / who-did-what etc. But then again, I guess most will probably do the same.

Got the result in the end though, so no real complaints.
