That's what I wanted originally as it looks awesome, but found a guy on a fazer forum who posted instructions that look way too difficult, having to get the fairing off then take the lens assembly apart (he used an oven!!). My mate is considering taking his apart to clean the lens but can't find any glue to stick it back together.

I've just send my HID's back from HIDS4U can't fault their customer services they refunded me in full after 4 months of having their lights, the lights themselves were bright but werent specific to the bike and had ALOT of wiring and masses of glare.

I have now ordered the SV specific projectors from uniquemotolights.com (Use the coupon code "svrider20" to get money off) and they look fantastic and again the responce time has been lightening quick.

HTH

P.S. If you do order through HIDS4U then use discount code "strathy" to get some money off

The usual method is a bead of Clear Slicon in the groove the original adhesive was in.

Oh and just to confirm it, you know that aftermarket HID lights without auto-levlelling and self-cleaning are illegal?

Right, do you mean like on cars with the fancy washer sprays under the lights? As if so, how does that effect a motorcycle, as from what I can tell and I may be wrong, pointys don't have self levelling motors and do not have self cleaning!?

Also had a quick look at the info on the ICO reply, and that does seem to only apply to cars??

On the MOT computer the in section it doesn't mention HID like cars .
Though you likely to fall short of type aproval
and cars state
"Vehicles equipped with High Intensity Discharge (HID) or LED dipped beam headlamps may be fitted with headlamp washers and a suspension or headlamp self levelling system. Where such systems are fitted, they must work"
SO If they were never fitted how can you fail it???
