UV - if you're looking at the allpondsolutions filter with built in UV, they're not small.... quite well designed, but some of the ancilliary parts look a little flimsy. Seems to work well though...

I have fluval externals atm so they are not small. Those internals are an issue when u want to replace them as they are siliconed in. It was aps i was looking at they have good reviews and wirh the bigger tank i am getting was going to get the 1400.

Got the aps 1000 on the 125L - seems to be doing the job. Height wise, the bit they don't tell you is that the priming "button" (damn big button) is always in the up position when the tank is running, it's slightly higher than the outlets....
