ok, i've got my car driving test in a min (provided its not cancelled due to a union strike - thats helping with the nerves...) and also moving house today, but i'll try and get a measurement of mine later tonight, i'll also measure the seat thickness if i can as maybe my bike has been lowered and its not the seat

if you can't get a lower one, you can get your existing seat sculpted. Probably cheaper too.
Here's a chap who does it: http://tonyarcher.co.uk/ He did a great job on Miss Ophic's bike seat.

Hi, sorry things have been up in the air atm. Mines 30 inch off the ground, although I was sat on it to keep it upright. I figure my weight probably made the seat dip 1.5 inch so the same size, sorry I can't help you on this one. Good luck getting that lowered seat

I lowered my own seat.
Easy enough to do as long as you do it carefully and recover it well. I bought a custom cover and put that on afterwards. |

don't bother trying to find a lowered one just get your one scooped but make sure that its narrow at the front and flat at the back like a big bicycle seat.

I've done a few over the years, you can take about an inch out of most standard seats pretty easily ( and electric carving knife works well), beyond that the density isn't enough and you'll feel the base through it, in these cases I use the double density (Blue) seat foam as a central incert, then you can get another 1/2 inch or so, fitting the original cover requires a bit of pulling about and if you go very low a heatgun will help re-shape the cover.
Cheers Mark.
