We had a DVD camera a while back and when that was used with Final Cut Pro it would go out of sinc. It turned out that the DVD camera had some funky compression software on it that messed the sound up. It was a real swine. In the end the camera failed and we bought a new one that is Mac compatible and that is always in sinc. Not sure if that helps you though.

Thanks Jayne. Interestingly, the sound is in sync in Internet Explorer. I did some googling and it seems to be a flash update problem. Either way, I'm getting a new cam for my birthday in a few weeks, so that may help.
