Pleb! My bikes are always on the Optimate. That's the only reason I made it at the weekend. I had to turn it over for a combined time of about 2 minutes to get the beach going. Probably wouldn't have had that juice without the optimate.

I remembered that advice when I went to get petrol, and then saw they only had 95 RON.

Have you tried blowing hot air into the intake with a hair dryer?

Check your plugs too, I know you've recently changed them but if your burning oil they could be fouled with soot.

Or buy a can of easy start and spray into air intake (remove filter first), in my world we call easy start WD40, but easy start is designed to do what it says on the tin.

Plugs will come out to check cylinder compression so I'll give them a wee ganders at the same time.

I've found carbed things respond well to a bit more octane when the weather gets cold. These new fangled injection things seem a bit less bothered.

Easy start is magic stuff and smells great too.
