If thats the mount you have you just bolt it on using the clutch/brake lever bolts and discard the supplied U bolt. You should have got new longer bolts in the kit.

I bought the Telferizer steering stem nut mount that has a RAM 1" ball and it seems to be quite good.

That's what I had in mind Colin. Don't have any longer bolts though.

Phil thanks for the offer. I'll give you a text if I can make it.

I'd complain to where you bought it from then mate and get them to send you the bolts. They definitely should come in that kit with that mount.

It was a second hand buy off Ebay. He's already refunded me a third of the cost because most of the mounting gear was damaged or missing.

Did a quick mock up on the brake reservoir thingy and I'm not too keen. Going to get one of those mounts which go on the yoke nut.

Seen these on Ebay for £20, look okay and cheaper than the Telfrizer

Mate, before you commit to anything, either shoot over mine or have a good look round yourself and see where else you could mount one, although its easy to mount on the yoke nut, it might not be most practical, you may even be able to mount it in your line of sight like mine by the screen?

I know Dan found his annoying on his sprint with a tank bag because you have to look down so much.

You could just buy the ball and mount it yourself to the yoke nut.
