Crazy error. They always vary wildly for me. I was looking at switching my sv insurance over to a zx7r expecting a kick in the minerals but it was the same price. That price being £49 tpo.. In perspective it would be an extra 360 quid to switch to a cbr600 f4.

You have probably already tried this but I have found that insuring vehicles seperately more beneficial in the majority of cases.
Even our trucks are insured seperately, not just cars and we have a total of 12 vehicles

I usually do, but lost one set of NCD after a theft so had to insure both on a single policy for a year. And a 1976 CB400F TPO on a separate policy to start building a second set of NCD again from scratch. Come year two, I no longer need the multibike policy.

You're one of those people who didn't look at the quote, aren't you.

I can only assume Dr Evil has taken over the renewals department.

I have had the renewal for my ZX6r today and was shocked at £161 but after 5 minutes on the net managed to get it for £89, to be added to my Son's SV as a named rider £1 one advantage of getting older.

I fear you have missed the point.

If you have an accident with one vehicle on a multi vehicle policy does this mean that the premium rises by an inflated amount to cover all the vehicles on it?
As stated earlier we have individual policies but with any employee named as a driver and the worst that can happen is we loose the NCB on that policy

A multibike policy treats all insured bikes as one. If you make a claim (accident, theft, whatever) on the policy, it pays out, and that's that, just like a single bike policy. Your insurance claim history is affected as if it was a single bike policy, your NCD is affected as if it was a single-bike policy. The only difference is you're spreading the risk of theft or accident across multiple vehicles.

I had two separate policies, claimed on one, lost that set of NCD, and had to insure two bikes on one policy using a single set of NCD. The alternative was insuring a brand new SMT or a gixer thou on a separate policy with no NCD, which is basically impossible.

None of which detracts from the following point: ONE MILLION POUNDS.
