Lol. I remember seeing someone who was in the same situation as me and had 10 sets made up for like £90 and flogged a few on. So I know it can be done. Just finding the info. Still makes me laugh that FIint want like £180 for it. My general opinion on that is little more than "jog on" lol

I believe these are the bad boys. And for £25 they're pretty cheap. The only thing I find a bit dubious is the description. "1998-2003" I might be wrong but svs didn't come out till '99 and these wouldn't fit an '03. And that it says under the throttle body. I'm not very mechanically minded and not sure if that's correct seeing as I don't know where the throttle body is (the joys of having a mechanic brother-in-law ) any thoughts?

You're probably right. Just makes me dubious when people sell stuff they don't really know what is. A bit like the clueless dude that tries to sell you an I pod dock in HMV lol

i don't blame you for having this view at all, but that price must surely be for fitting them as well?! though that is still on the steep side in my view!

I wish! Public can't buy them. Only trade guys can I.e garages. And that is their cost! You've then got their costs on top. I've spoken to the blokes down at my local Yamaha dealer (it's the closest garage to me and just happens to be a dealer aswell) and they charge near on £300 to restrict an sv and £90 to de restrict it after the 2 years. Screw that for a game of you soldiers.

I did my MOT for my CBR125 there and my rear brake was binding. They wanted £145 to change the piston seals. I told em to swivel and to just sell me the £6 seals and I'd fit them my self. Got the brother in law round. A kebab and 4 cups of coffee seemed a much fairer price to me lol
