I always try to photocopy my licence before I send it off. Then I have proof it was there before

I'd heard that a photocopy didn't really help. Anyway you guys are saying that the problems are in the past, so fingers crossed and if I can hang onto the old one until the new arrives then that's a better fallback plan. The old one is current, it's just got the wrong address.

You can ask to have your old license returned to you along with the new one. There is an option on the form I think.

They told me they dont send the old ones back anymore

I have sent my licence to them about 3 times in the last 6 months for updates. No issues with them.

Definitely need to for a change of address, I suppose it's because the old is still valid.
