Just in case anyone is still interested, with this baffle fitted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EXHAUST-BA...item25816e61a9 my M4 system at 7k was 102db at Snetterton.

I got 98 at snetterton with no baffle, and 96 at brands hatch, 5.5k revs.
Why did you do 7k revs? |

That what I was told to do. I've since checked the rpm test level for a 2 cylinder 650 and it should've been tested at 5.5k.
They asked me what cc it was, so I guess they presumed it was a 4 cylinder and had no idea what make or model it was (a 4 cylinder 600cc is tested at 7k). I reckon at 5.5k it would be similar to your readings. I'll know for next time......... |

I run a full M4 system on my minitwin. It tests at 96db at 5.5k revs Make sure its fully warmed up first as a cold bike will be louder.

Hhaha, I was told the exact opposit - that it would be louder warm.. What's the reasoning behind the argument?

everything has in the engine has had chance to expand etc reducing engine sound, mine cold/ish was 99db at oulton park wirral 100 meeting. fully warmed up it was 96db. try it.
