Keep the Sprint DT

I think the CBR500 will struggle to get 55mpg average as you'll be rigging its neck everywhere. Deaville don't! Probably weighs more than the sprint too

Trade it in for a newer 1050 Sprint? You know you like the sprint - so get a newer one that doesn't need any work doing and ride that for 10 years.

Can get 06 / 07 with around 15k for that kinda money ???

Not read all through just quick read, but what about a sv650 Haha

Can be moddified for more comfert,
easily sit at 60mph with standard sprockets, or higher gearing
Good 45-65 mpg depending on enjoyment

can be had dirt cheap, luggage can be added.. or even a sidecar or maybe abit over the top

He's had one of those.

Anyway DT you know selling the Sprint will be about as easy for you as having your right arm sawn off

I have toyed with changing up to the 1050 but after riding one for an hour I found the riding position more sporty than touring, knees making contact with the fairings and a noticeable forward lean

650 Veryses? Ugly bar steward so no Burberry attired night time inspectors would be interested lol.

But good on economy, easy to get touring kit, relaxed riding position and sort of decent value nearly new.

Having had a new SV650S and now a GSX650F, if I was buying a new bike to use 'every day' again then I would seriously look at one of these.
