Think you need two wheels pal looking at where the rim just leaves the picture in the last shot, it certainly looks deformed. Its definetly taken a knock to the rear (perhaps into that little wall) as the chain is slack and the spindle plate has been knocked into/against the swing arm.

Whats the vital stats of the bike (year/mileage/mot/tax etc) I'd perhaps consider it before you involve insurance companies.

Good that your ok.

I dinged my rim like that went I crashed. Forks were fine. I got a front wheel for £90 from a breakers yard, and got it powder coated. Bike was fine after that.

Bear in mind my bike didn't actually hit anything just slid a long way from a fairly high speed.

Can't see the pictures on this pc and the mobile is too wee to show pictures to any quality, but stripping the front end of the SV isn't a difficult job* especially if you've got a paddock stand that go's into the bottom yoke. You can have the front end stripped down in less than an hour, sometimes takes a little longer to put it all back together mind you

It might be a good idea to change the fork oil while you've got the forks out to give them a check, and give the brakes a wee service too...

S'all good and well worth while. I'd certainly advise against making the snap choice to sell the bike. You may regret it.

*I find it quite an enjoyable job to do, gives a good sense of satifaction.

I generally take my bike up to Bill the Biker, had tyres and chain/sprockets fitted - the tyres would have needed balancing. Pretty sure he will do most things if you ask!
