Yeah sorry i only said it because you are talking about wacking the throttle open in first, the bike will give a few wiggles when you do this sometimes. Basically you want to hold the bike with your lower body, hold your upper body with your core and stay loose on the bars and the rest will come!

A tank slapper or headshake is when the bars slap left to right uncontrollably sometimes lock to lock. The good thing about the SV is its quite forgiving and seems to sort itself out. Its probably down to being a slower bike too.

Thanks

How does this tank slapper happens then ? Is it due to reckless driving or just out of blue all of sudden ?

I guess the way to stop it is let the handle go or control it loosly as opposed to fighting it ?
Would not crash u before comming back to control

If you haven't done so already, check that the brake and clutch levers are set at the correct level so that your fingers lie on them naturally. If they're set too high it puts more strain on your wrists.

My two cents - I'd say your weight helps to keep the front wheel down under hard acceleration, not the other way round. Unless you lean back and pull on the handlebars of course but you're not going to do that.

I've put on a couple of stone since I got my SV and it definitely helps keep the nose down when I pulling away from the lights. Natural anti-wheelie.
