ASSS works for me, needs to be the "soft and fresh" version with citrinellol in the ingredients. It doesn't stop the midges from landing on ya but they don't bite. And if it works for Ollie then it's definitely worth using, he comes up in lumps if I remember rightly!

I'm going a different way; odourless Garlic, and it seems to work. TBH its helping something else too as I'm feeling healthier

All I really want people to bring are their smiles.

This is the look your going for.

Not so. I carried out an inadvertant test at GMI by missing the underside of one arm. It got bitten to f*ck.

You'll never stop them flying near you and driving you mental, but Skin So Soft will stop them biting you.

But mostly don't forget the beer money.

Default GMVI checklist- What to bring

A rear tyre that is not 10 miles from showing canvas at the start of the ride out is handy.

Skin so soft is sat by my panniers ready to go, as is the sunblock to prevent a burned scalp.

I've gone a stage up from Skin so Soft this time - gone for chemical warfare and hi-tech fabrics to keep my arms intact this time.

50% DEET plus something the midges don't like. Also harmful to everything else, if the packet is to be believed...
