Default Re: Hastings direct insurance opinions?

Just returned to them after cancelling my sv insurance due to selling.
Got hit with £35 admin cancel fee after 2 months, though they said will refund that if took another policy within 30 days.
Luckily found another bike so not so bad, but annoyed me at the time.
Read small print, and they have some fees but really, who ever does???
Mine is £118 FC inc legal and helmet and leathers cover for a 750.
Never claimed cant speak for that.

MCE were the worst when I changed my reg plate. I wrote emailed and called them over a 9 week period trying to get my records updated. Eventually wrote threatening the ombudsman. When they tried to charge me £45 admin fee after finally replying to me I told them they could waive that or I would be invoicing them £50 for phone calls, postage and loss of earnings while waiting for them to answer the phone. That worked.

Its not the insurace company, its the broker that charges these admin fees, and its how they make their money.
