Cheers. What are the downsides, other than making the speedo under-read? Interesting about holding the line, but I think on my bike that's got more to do with the front suspension than anything else.

120/60 or 120/70 is a personal preference on the road. I quite like the 120/60, but others prefer the 70, just slightly different feels.

For race scrubs however, you'll almost always find them in 120/70 rather than 60 as the racers generally go for the 70 profile as it's more common, and the advantages of that profile make the most difference at full lean.

I've heard that racers say they get better feel out of the higher sidewall tires.

I ran a few race take offs years ago. They didn't last long enough, and I don't like changing tires that often. They are also harder to heat up to their operating temperature, and hard to keep there too. I think you get much better traction on the street from street tires.

They dont do race tyres in a 120/60 profile...120/70 works fine and doesnt affect anything.

Those scrubs will be fine..just run them like new tyres for the first few miles to re scrub them in.,
