there is no tickover screw from k7 onwards as its auto.

there is a switch under the clutch leaver bracket with wires going into it.

Sorry just read both replies. Yeh I can start my bike without clutch.

I assume a regular SV cannot be started in neutral without the clutch being in?

why would someone disconnect the clutch safety on an L0 is beyond me unless you have aftermarket leavers fitted.

no they should all require the clutch to be pulled in.

I fitted aftermarket levers but didn't touch this switch when doing so. Didn't even know it existed to be honest.

Will check when I get home but I'm 99% certain I can start up on just the button.

I hope if it's been bypassed it hasn't been butchered and I can reassemble easily.

Problem solved. Aftermarket clutch lever was pushing the switch all the time.

Put OEM clutch back on and it's now working.
