Thanks Lance

I have several pairs of gloves and some are looser than others and I get the pins and needles with all of them, I though it was because the bike is very vibratey ( if there is such a word lol)

Nice one Shawthing I been looking for a set but they have all been crazy expensive these prices are a lot better better start saving

I used to get similar on my first SV with clip-ons, but never changed bars etc.

The SV is actually quite a relaxed position even with clip-ons. Like folk have said, just try to relax on the bike, I used to find that wiggling my arms about at the elbow now and again would serve as a reminder to stay loose. Also lining levers up correctly does make a difference.

Personally, I'd try that lot before forking out on something you might not need.

Default Wrist pain on Pointy S.

I'd agree with all above.
When I got my SV my first trip home on her, my wrists were agony. But think that's cos I was all tense and nervous (first big bike and without big crash bars!)

Now that I've been riding her more often I don't even really notice any pain in my wrists at all. I know it's a hard thing to do but try telling yourself to relax and shake out any tension you may have in your shoulders, arms etc!

I'd defo bare with until your sure your body is relaxed rather than spending a fortune on additional gear

Happy (relaxed) riding!

This is something that I've been considering, I used to get really bad numb hands when I started riding on my little CBR, but as my confidence improved I relaxed more, used my legs and core more to grip and hands less. The numbness still creeps in even though I've got hardly and weight on my hands or wrists and my forarms are almost in-line with the ground, but it's better than it was. As I'm still stuck on my 125 at the mo it doesn't vibrate the bars to a degree that I notice so I'm considering that it might be my gloves, especially as the tips of my thumbs and a few fingers touch the ends of the gloves when I'm settled into a ride.

May have to go up a size...?

Speaking of vibrations, if you are insistant on spending some money you could consider a set of Renthal or Progrip gel grips to see if they transmit less vibrations to your hands?

I have Renthal grips and they are MUCH nicer than stock IMO.
