I completely agree with this. One helmet can be the quietest thing since silence to one person, but really noisy to another. Helmets all very personal and individual, which is why I think you always need to try one on before you buy.

Possibly an unfair appraisal but as I no longer do [or can achieve] speeds above the national speed limits[68mph max] since selling the Triumph. I am no longer finding the need for earplugs. Perhaps because I have no wind deflection from a screen now but the BMW[Schuberth] is one of the quietest lids I have had. Regarding comfort, it is taking a bit of time to break in but definitely a lot better than when it was new, about 80% at the moment but it is either changing the shape of my head
![]() ![]() Snug fitting, easy to undo the chin strap,anti-mist pinlock standard, removable linings for washing, easy action sun visor and should you want it they also do a blue-tooth kit for this helmet. Last edited by Dicky Ticker; 27-09-13 at 08:58 AM. |

regarding the head shape and size..mine still has a snug fit and needed some minor arrangement of pads. I think its comes up small for the listed size ( more pressure on the forehead) . I have a bmw sport which fitted like a glove in the same size so certainly a slight change in the fitting shape. Visor ratchet mechanism is a bit clonky and doesnt stay firm when on the move. I still like it but take the compromise for a flip lid in yellow
