Nice one, I had heard of OpenAero before, I didn't realise it was that flexible!
I have all the other bits already...needed the programmer for flashing ESCs ![]()

Looks much nicer than the original KK2 firmware versions. |

It will just look like you are riding a car though. I like seeing the tilt in videos

Here's some pictures of a test box I made this aft. Made out of Depron, which is like the foam version of Balsa. It'll do for a test bed. I've a feeling I'll have to provide some kind of vibration damping for the board, it may suffer from jittering once on the bike. ![]() ![]() ![]() Even has a gopro mount!! ![]() ![]() The arming link: ![]() |

By the way, for a far more succinct solution to this idea, see here:

Oh and I've just had a much better idea.
For version 2, I will separate the battery pack and the board into another box. Then a flying lead will connect to the servo. Taking most of the extra weight off the camera mount. |

Some good stuff here.
Didn't MotoGP start off with the gyro cam on the back of Lorenzo at the start of the season, or am I imagining it? |

Cool!
Seeing this reminded me I saw this about my new pocket camera. "Also new to the TZ40's movie mode is the Level Shot function which automatically detects the horizon in the frame and and keeps it even in the recorded movie even if the camera is tilted - very clever." I'll need to try it out - don't expect it will be up to much though. |

Sounds like a great idea, the servo could even sit on a metal plate without any need for a fancy case.....

Indeed, so just need a nice battery box with room for a KK2, a nice black painted bracket for the servo and I could maybe sell a handfull if people were interested.
The servo horn could either be screwed onto the back of a gopro mount or some kind of generic plate for non-gopro users. Not that I think this is going to be my next business venture, not like it could be patented! But where would you stand selling someone elses firmware on the KK2? I guess people are making money from selling the KK2 boards, bought in from China. |
