You can have a Room thermostat and should have, a wireless one one with a new programmer wired up to the boiler will at least give you more control than you have at the moment, makes it a lot easier turning the htg on and off.

As Bluefish said. Worcester do their own range of wireless programmable roomstsats but you pay good money for them. Salus also do a few as do Siemens but their range seem a bit unreliable at times. The receiver that goes below the boiler only requires 4 wires, live, neutral control live and switched live. Let me know if you wanty more info mate and i`ll be happy to advise.

I have a Drayton wireless room stat that I bought last year. Very effective and was cheaper than most.
