Yeah, ya right...........but as things stand just now "IF" (BIG BIG if) Espagaro and Edwards finished 1st n 2nd first time out............dont think Yamaha (as a Factory) would "allow" them (machine wise...not 'team orders' as they're not Factory Riders) to 'embarrass' them in the second race??!!

"Gas it w###a".........

All just politics and as normal boils down to money.

First time out? Absolute inconceivable. But Espargaro being on the podium at some point over the season? Entirely possible - he's running top six times, and it doesn't take much for that to turn into the chance of a top three finish.

Winning? Less likely, but still possible. Yamaha aren't Honda though. I think they can understand a rare event when they see one, whereas, say, Hayden winning a race on the RCV would be rather different.

Okay then, Ducati to stay factory (factory ecu) and keep all open concessions! . . . . . Waits for DORNA to do another u turn!

Fair play to Ducati if they can get away with it, seems like they are getting the best of both worlds. If I was Ducati I would ask for a 10 second head start, dorna would more than likely agree to it

Well, not quite.

Everyone's running the spec ECU. The difference is the software. Ducati are running the 2014 open spec software, the other open class teams are running the 2013 spec software. The rest (factories) are running custom software on the same ECU.

And Ducati are still subject to the "factory 2" rules that were being proposed, just without the name.

Well, maybe, but the 14 spec software is basically Ducati factory, but they have the option to run with whatever software they want.
