My all time favourite, not because it's the best in its own right but because it leads to some of the best roads in the UK http://goo.gl/maps/JrITn . I just feel so good when I ride this road I know I'm in for a great day.

Again not the best road known to man but the ride there and back with a few detours along the way (Megget-Talla-Beeftub-Moffat-St Marys) make it a joy of a day. http://goo.gl/maps/V8hP2

Third choice http://goo.gl/maps/lYFSk The Hartside, you can spend the whole day here and on the adjacent roads.

Note to Carelesschucca and Bibio, I just LOVE the roads you both posted BUT am bitterly disappointed you didn't surprise me with something new to ride.

What a great thread btw, I'm looking forward to some crackers.

How about coming up for the GM and the Applecross add-on? You'll get the roads and the laughs in the evening. It'll be a good four days of biking fun.
