Rather than checking the sidestand switch etc.... actually bypass them at the fusebox including bypassing the cutout relay. Just 2 wires to join.

Won't be anything to do with the clutch switch as that only prevents starting.

Do this before you spend any more money replacing expensive bits.

I had an issue with similar symptoms.

Turned out to be small hole in the rad, that was chucking coolant into the front plug (which was brand new). Had to replace plug and give the cavity a good clean out.
